Gerald is recognized as a thought leader and outstanding innovator in the rapidly growing field of private equity. He is the founder of Blackmore Partners, an independent private equity firm and intermediary. Blackmore Partners provides investing capital and business expertise to enterprises with potential. Blackmore Partners forms strategic partnerships with existing management teams, leveraging expertise and relationships to stabilize, strengthen and grow lasting value. Moreover, investment efforts and managerial expertise focus on the operation of a global and diversified portfolio of business enterprises. This includes opportunities in industries such as media, distribution, healthcare, defense, and financial services. Secondly, Gerald O’Dwyer is also a non-executive co-founder of the PECO Fund, an investment group of proprietary M&A intermediary partners, high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors. This fund acts as a co-investor alongside Private Equity Sponsors. Together, each target company belongs to the Private Equity Sponsor and the Target Investment, LLC. Furthermore, PECO’s investors have a unique opportunity to participate in deals not otherwise available to the public at large. Finally, partnering with institutional capital, he has built a diversified and extensive network to identify executives interested in: (1) buying a company or division, (2) acquiring a company they have identified in their industry, or (3) seeking to purchase a company in a specific industry. He recognizes that an expert management team is integral in driving a successful LBO, MBO, or merger and acquisition.

Rick Grady has significant executive experience in the technology and banking industries, having served over three decades in senior leadership positions with Electronic Data Systems(EDS), Affiliated Computer Services(ACS) and Computer Task Group(CTG), primarily in their banking and investment divisions, and in numerous corporate roles involving acquisitions, competitor intelligence, analyst relations, revenue enhancement, strategic planning and R&D. Beyond technology, his experience encompasses economics and finance, and lobbying for community-based financial institutions and their customers at state and federal levels. Rick is also an elected official, serving as a Councilman in the City of Plano, and a combat veteran having served in the U. S. Army.

Yelena Edelstein is Deal Partner at Blackmore Partners Inc. – a Chicago-based Private Equity Independent Sponsor firm that, since 2005, has been partnering with highly accomplished executives to acquire and build leading companies. At Blackmore, Yelena is responsible for investment thesis development, deal origination, due diligence, valuation, and transaction execution. Prior to Blackmore, Yelena was Principal at Amicus Capital Partners – a Chicago-based Private Equity firm with deep expertise in medicine and the business of healthcare, and exclusive focus on the healthcare industry. Prior to Amicus, Yelena has founded two independent consulting firms: a technology consultancy specializing in the design and architecture of strategic technology solutions, and a management consultancy focused on business architecture and capability-driven strategy. Throughout her consulting career, Yelena consistently stayed at the frontier of the technology and industry curves to deliver innovative business and technology solutions for Fortune 500, mid-size, and start-up companies across Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Telecom, Human Resources, Leasing, and Restaurant/Retail sectors. Yelena’s clients include Allstate Insurance Company, Discover Financial Services, McDonald’s Corporation, Options Clearing Corporation, CVS/Caremark, Hewlett-Packard. Yelena is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative America and serves on the Leadership Council of Upwardly Global. She is a mentor at MATTER, Chicago’s new hub of healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship. Yelena received her MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and completed coursework in Mathematics and Informatics at universities in Ukraine and Russia.

Grayson is a Senior Executive with extensive U.S. and International experience in technology, media, telecommunications, manufacturing, food, and turnarounds in Fortune 500 companies and start-up businesses. He has the ability to translate ideas, concepts and technology into business solutions that produce measurable financial and operational results. Grayson has previously served as the CEO, CFO, COO, and EVP for a number of public and private companies. Moreover, Grayson led two successful stock offerings, many private equity offerings, and various private and government debt transactions. Grayson received his MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Denver. And he received his Accounting degree from the University of North Dakota.

A graduate of Marquette University, Jim specializes in EBITDA and revenue growth, rapid turn-arounds, improved safety metrics, and is a passionate Lean Six Sigma Driver. He is also an entrepreneur who built, owned, and operated restaurants.

Steven Brown is the Senior Partner of SB Digital Professional Advisors – a specialty consultancy that focuses on accelerating commercial value for digital solutions within Fintech, Payments and Printing industries.   Prior to founding SB Digital Professional Advisors, Steve was the SVP, US Sales and Marketing for Brinks, Incorporated. In that capacity, Steve repositioned the company’s payments strategy, developed new channel partnerships within the banking industry and achieved record revenue growth.   Previously, Steve held senior leadership positions with Fiserv (SVP, Sales), Mimeo.com (SVP, Sales and Business Development), and dual roles at CDS (President and CGX EVP, International Operations). In each role, Steve championed digital transformation initiatives, implemented lean processes and instilled a strong sales discipline to capture significant market share.   A nationally recognized “Printing Industry Pro”, Steve is particularly adept at product innovation, marketing, business development, global operations and M&A. His 20 years in digital printing included notable achievements having developed a patented color control system that achieved 99.8% color accuracy and securing an exclusive agreement to produce all printed products for Apple’s iPhoto® clients.  Steve earned his BS, International Business from Chapman University, Orange CA.    Active members of their local community, Steve and his wife, Hayley, are residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area. Together, they combine their passion for global travel with broad-reaching humanitarian efforts including dental and medical triage units, sourcing supplies for schools and building fresh-water wells.

An experienced and dynamic growth executive with a 22+ year proven track record of developing, marketing and distributing over $1B of consumer products for globally dominant brands such as Hugo Boss and Calvin Klein (PVH Corp).  I have multichannel experience driving growth strategies in nearly every consumer product category with businesses ranging from $50M to $225M with P&L accountability and up to $40M EBITDA. ​​

Tony Maranto has more than 40 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry, including two decades of executive experience at Roan Resources and EOG Resources.  Mr. Maranto assumed the CEO position at Roan in 2017 and led company growth of more than 100% from its inception to its sale in 2019.  He also led its conversion to a public company listed on the NYSE in October of 2018.  As business unit Vice President for EOG Resources Tony was responsible for the Mid-Continent operations for the company.  In this role he built and sold multiple deals which provided needed cashflow for the company which was used for major transactions which contributed to company growth. In addition, he has held executive positions at both Continental Resources and EnerVest Operating Company.   Mr. Maranto has built a career which began with operations and has progressed to executive roles.  He has the skillsets necessary to identify, grow and monetize assets to create value for investors.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Centenary College.

He has led the successful resolution of several significant public policy challenges, and the transformation of many underperforming organizations, including a Medicaid plan restructuring that turned a projected loss of $80 million into a $5 million profit. With an MBA from Ohio State University and 25 years of healthcare management and public affairs experience, he is highly regarded by healthcare leaders across the United States. As a public affairs expert, Jim can help any healthcare organization navigate challenging markets by utilizing his distinctive approach to simplifying complexity, aligning stakeholders, and improving performance. John began his career in a family business where he was responsible for product development, improving operations, business development, and building new market verticals. This is where he developed his “no excuses” attitude toward getting the job done. Growing revenue from $8m to $28m, improving margins from 35% to 55%. After a successful exit in 2007, John joined Vitec Group – RF Systems as VP of Technology, focusing on strategy, M&A, and new market growth initiatives. As lead Technologist, John developed and grew the government and foreign military line from $1m to $40m over three years. In 2014, John served as Interim CEO and performed his first PE-backed turnaround. He stabilized cash flow, reformed the company’s strategy, cultivated a new company culture and morale, and delivered a 92% IRR for the PE firm. He then joined XG Technologies (NASDAQ:XGTI) for his second turnaround, divesting one division and growing another organically and through acquisition from $8m to $58m over five years. John rebranded the company to (NASDAQ:VISL) and positioned it as a platform for additional accretive acquisitions. With a global footprint headquartered in the US and offices in Massachusetts, New Jersey, California, UK, Dubai, and Singapore, John was able to grow the company globally. As an experienced technology leader, John has a proven track record of developing and growing technology companies, creating and implementing turnaround strategies, overseeing integration, M&A and due diligence efforts, improving EBITDA margins, and developing personnel and culture. John holds a BSEE from the Rochester Institute of Technology, an MSEE from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Cornell University.
